Anyone from the club is invited to any or all of the venues.
At the York Rugby Club we will celebrate George's life especially his life in sport namely Rugby Union, Judo and Boxing. At intervals if anyone would like to recount their stories about George to those gathered you will be welcome and encouraged to do so.
We are not asking for flowers but for donations to what will become:
'The George Toplis Foundation: Mental Health through Sport'
So that our son's hard work, courage and determination to get well is not forgotten, we intend to establish this charity to support young men and women in sport with mental health problems. George's involvement in sport was in his words "not important but critical".
The charity will help introduce and /or help maintain young men and women in sport with pastoral, therapeutic, physiotherapy and progressive coaching and involvement in sport. More details will emerge during the legal setup of the charity.
