The Executive Committee of the club is delighted to announce that Pete Fletcher has been appointed as the new Director of Rugby.

"Fletch" has been a key member of the club for many years, and made his senior debut in 1982 at the age of 16. After a long, illustrious career on the field which included Fletch being club captain, he has then continued to be involved at the club. Starting out on the coaching pathway with his eldest son's age group, from Minis through to the current U18’s Academy, was the catalyst that saw Fletch retire from playing at the end of the 2009/10 season.

With such a vast range of rugby experience we are confident that Fletch will help the club develop further both on and off the pitch and all at the club wish him well in his new role.

Pete Fletcher said on his appointment “It’s a real honour to be appointed as Director of Rugby for Ripon Rugby Club, and I am looking forward to taking on the role to help with the club’s future development.
I have been involved with the club for over 35 years as a player, a captain and as a coach and have seen the club come a long way in terms of developments both on and off the pitch.
However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the immense sense of community that we have as a club. There are lots of talented people working very hard across all areas of the club to maintain that sense of community and club spirit. I feel that it’s a real privilege as DoR to be able to continue working with everyone to further develop our club.”
