This season we will be running a new U18s Academy, which merges the new U17s and U18s, as part of a Yorkshire RFU initiative for future adult players.

Ripon RUFC are pleased to announce the appointment of Jacob McRobert as lead coach of their 18s Academy for the 2016/17 season. Director of Rugby Ian Hassall said "Jacob is aspirational as a coach and this role gives him a great opportunity to work towards his level 3, by coaching a large group of players alongside an experienced coaching team. Having worked with Jacob last season he is a young man who has a very bright future in the game"

Jacob is also part of the senior set up at Ripon and said of his role "The new 18s Academy has an important role to play between the juniors making a successful transition into senior rugby, whilst helping those not quite ready. I’m really looking forward to working with the existing coaches and players"

Preseason training for the Academy 18s starts on Tuesday July 5th at 6:45pm. All players (16-18) welcome.
