Half Time Fun at Yorkshire Carnegie

After training in what felt like sub zero temperatures, 15 boys from the Under 9's made the journey to see Yorkshire Carnegie's take on Morsley.

With Ripon Under 8's also attending, they welcomed both teams onto the pitch before kick off with the help of the cheerleaders.

The first half was a tight affair and set up the "Feature" game when Ripon took to the pitch half time. The 15 boys in the under 9's were split into 2 teams ready to tackle the two Dinnington under 9's teams.

The tackling practise from the cold morning training session proved worthwhile as some hard and spirited knocks were dished out by the Ripon boys. Turning over the ball a number of times and running in the tries with some fine support play meant that both Ripon Teams came out on top.

In the second half of the "support" game.....Carnegies came out on top with some brilliant tries. After the game a few of the boys stayed back to meet the players and collect a few autographs.
All in all a great time had by all !!
