Ripon welcomed back some old faces in the likes of Jim Calveley, Joe Duffield and Pete Marsden. The home side resembled the 1st team from a few years ago.

York got the 1st points of the game with an easy penalty in front of the posts. The home side dominated the rest of the half but kept making silly errors. Joe Duffield scored the only try of the 1st half which was converted by the reliable Patrick Whitaker.
HT 7-3

In the second half tries came from Jim Calveley, Tom Graham and Joe Duffield. Again all converted by Patrick Whitaker. York had the final say of the game to score a try near the posts which was also converted.

A good win for the 2xv with Jack Stiddard, Ben Pilling, Joe Duffield and Billy Burgin having impressive games in front of Ian Hassall. Maybe they will be pushing for selection for the 1xv next week!
