Wetherby at home for the Colts and a bonus point win for Ripon. Wetherby turned up with only twelve players so the game was played with reduced numbers. For fifteen minutes both teams cancelled each other out until Lucian Wray opened the scoring for Ripon gathering a long kick through to score. Hynesy put the conversion over. Wetherby hit back with a try up the wing and at half time Ripon led 7-5.
Ripon regained the lead through John Houseman, touching down on the back of a driving maul, Keith Anderson hitting the conversion this time. Keith then scored Ripons third, running on to his own chip over to go in near the corner. Ripon kept up the pressure looking for the bonus point and it came five minutes later when Ben Borchard scored the important forth try. Wetherby scored a late try which gave a final score of 24-12.
