U9s training begins

A great turnout for training today. Over 20 boys and girls participated in the first training session of the season.

An enlarged coaching team kicked off training with some old training classics - Pick 'n' Pop, Catch 'n' Spin 'n' Pop, Weaving & Lines. Rugby is ultimately a game of evasion and it was great to see the boys and girls going through their paces.

We were then joined by the U10s Head Coach - who lead the Players and Coaches through their first contact drills - breaking down the essentials of a great tackle - get low, cheek to cheek, drive through with your shoulder and wrapping your arms around the opposition to bring them down.

Great fun, huge commitment from all and lots of laughs.

A great start to the season.
