Ripon played 2 matches against Richmond on Sunday
Match 1
An equally matched performance. First break for Ripon from Raife ten metres into the Richmond 22 area. Richmond came back into Ripon’s 20 metre mark. Some good defence from Ripon with a strong run from Morgan Clark onto Richmond’s 5 metre line. Penalty to Richmond takes play to the half way line then a very brave tackle by Tom Senior. Try to Richmond from a poor clearance kick, but no conversion. Richmond attack stopped by a classic tackle by Rob Langford. Raife makes a 20 metre break and Clarky runs off a penalty and scores, missed conversion.
A quieter second half with a penalty to Richmond for not releasing. Kick to Ripon’s 10 metre line, Clarky clears to the half way line. Richmond break and show some great backs handling. Once again Rob Langford puts in one of his great tackles. No score in this half.

Match 2
Richmond kick off, Charlie catches and makes 20 metres. Ball is turned over, Richmond attack and Tobias does a blinding tackle. Theo breaks from a ruck and has a good 20 metre gain. Richmond awarded a penalty for not releasing. Elliot Eccles has a great break and runs down the pitch, gains 30 metres and is stopped 10 metres short of the try line. Tobias breaks for a 20 metre run and Ewan Ellis goes over for a try, conversion missed. Will Edson has a blistering run for 30 metres but the ball is turned over.
Ripon restart. First set move, Ripon scrum collapses twice, on the 3rd attempt Tobias picks up from the rear of the scrum and breaks right, ball passed to Will who runs onwards to score on the left side of the posts, and converts. Richmond make a break down the left side of the pitch and score a try after brushing off 5 Ripon tackle attempts. Ripon gain from the restart, Theo has a fast run, Elliot Eccles gets the pass and runs a try in. Richmond on the attack get into Ripon’s 5 metres line. Jack C tries to kick clear but miskicks, and after a scrappy maul sees the final whistle blown.
