U13s Continue To Dominate

With Wensleydale joining us at Skipton and each team being limited to 50 minutes of game time we split the session up into three 25minute matches.

Ripon showed great strength in depth today with a number of influential players missing they still managed to score an impressive 14 unanswered tries.

The first match against Wensleydale started a bit scrappy but Ripon soon took charge. Aggressive defence from Oliver Rocky shut down any threats early and clever distribution from Ben Rutter saw Oliver Williams open the scoring and Titus Baker notch up a hat trick, using his deceptive pace to run one in from nearly his own line.
Evan Rees and Cole Potts showed that forwards don't lack speed too with some nice tries between them.

The second match against Skipton was more forward dominated with the pack picking up 6 of the 7 tries.
Ted Wainwright gave a 'fend off' master class with some powerful runs straight through the opposition defence.
Michael Sorby showed his versatility by playing so well in his third position in as many games. Evan Rees continued on from the previous game by scoring another 2 from ruck ball.
Cole Johns got one for the backs by finishing out wide and Cole Potts ended the match with a great team effort that started with Ethan McMurray on the left wing deep in his own 22 and went through most of the team's hands before Cole Potts finished it on the right wing with some great footwork and a number of players in support.
