A good hard game for the under 14's against West Park Leeds this week. Ripon, playing improving rugby every week, competed well, though the score of 10-31 did not reflect how close the game was.
Ripon moved the ball well in the backs and the forwards competed well , both in the scrum and at the breakdown. Ripon’s first try came from Elliot Bean playing on the wing who finished off a good phase of play running in from distance.
The second came from Ric Castle-Ward who split the defence running a good line. Ripon’s missed tackle total is dropping fast, helped by some great tackling from Elliot Brooksbank , James Willis and Will Langford.
Everyone in the squad putting in a good hard shift, things are looking up .
